My children all attended Del Oro and my granddaughter is looking forward to becoming a Golden Eagle. Del Oro strives for excellence in every aspect of its educational offerings (in and out of the classroom). It's rich tradition, supportive environment, caring staff, and tremendous community involvement set it apart.

Del Oro is a fantastic school. It has so much spirit and pride. Every Friday the whole school dresses up in black and gold to support the sports teams. Del oro is always working to make sure that everyone is a accepted and feels apart of the 'family' the teachers are very encouraging and help you to learn vital skills used throughout your life. There is something fr everyone and I love being a part of the school. I don't want to graduate because I love this school so much. It is very much a family and a great safe environment to learn in.

I am a former student of Del Oro and have returned to the area to start a family. It is my hope that my children will attend DO when the time comes!

'Del Oro was an amazing school. I was a student there for all 4 years of high school and I do not have one bad thing to say about it. The teachers have such an unbelievable dedication to the students. I can truthfully say that a few of the staff members saved my life. There are also an endless amount of clubs, sports and other extracurricular activities. There is really something for everyone. My grandmother was in the first graduating class of Del Oro, when she speaks about her experiences you can see that Del Oro does have a 'Tradition of Excellence' and will continue to until they close the doors.

This school is the greastest school that i have ever seen. It resides in the small community of Loomis, Ca. The town and the school is an old fasion county school that has great tradition, spirit, and pride. For example, every Friday night when the high school football team plays, the entire community goes and supports Del Oro. In fact, the local Sheriff's department is closed during the football game, and all the Sheriffs can be found at the football stadium. If you are looking for a school which doesn't have the social clicks as the average school does, is a great place where the teachers really do care about their students, and the school and community is alive with spirit, then Del Oro High School is the place for you.

Two kids have graduated - another is a senior. This is a fantastic high school - not perfect but what a great culture of academics, activities, and athletics. Son who is a 2nd year student at a UC says he was so prepared on so many levels for a UC because of the staff at Del Oro. Daughter who just finished first year of a private University says she was prepared academically and emotionally. All any parent can ask for their kids. The academics are rigorous yet what sets this school apart is the culture where so many are involved and included. Our kids have developed social skills that will serve them for life - the staff has been outstanding - role models and life coaches to our kids.

There academic rigor provides a quality education that more than provides your child the necessary foundation for a 2 0r 4 year collegiate institution. This knowledge is presented by individuals who focus on the students needs and abilities and teach to the individuals capabilities ineffort to create better individuals for society

Football and athletics are a top priority for Del Oro. Homecoming week is made extremely memorable. Great students! Some teachers are great and some are okay and some need to retire! Very importantly it is a safe environment for kids overall.

Well, I'm a student at DO and I love it there! On a daily basis I feel as if every one that is there (whether it be teachers, students, or the ladies in the office) would rather be at no other high school. There is so much tradition and spirit. It is an awesome high school.

My children (5) and now grandchildren all want to attend DO and most have. School provides the basics and the extras often missing in other schools I taught at in the past. Keep up the good work.

Del Oro has been a great school for my daughter now a senior. There is a real difference between a school in a rural area vs urban.
